Salut!

My name’s Chris, and I’m a lover of food, travel and most importantly, wine. Whilst journeying through France, I was introduced to the idea that outstanding wine could come in a box.

This revelation inspired me to spread the word in other countries where—let’s face it—boxed wine has a mixed reputation. So, I created BOBO, to prove that boxed wine can be chic, affordable and surpass all expectations.

A partner in wine

Our wine buyer is Amber Gardner, a sommelier, writer and educator who has spent over a decade working in Michelin–starred restaurants and with winemakers across Australia, Europe and the UK. Amber is based between London and the south of France, and together we are on a mission to seek out premium, organic wines from small French vignerons.

Why organic?

Whilst spending time with our winemakers—be it huddled over a barrel in the cellar, walking the vineyards or enjoying a glass together over lunch—it became clear that BOBO should champion organic farming practices. Each of our winemakers spoke of their personal connection and commitment to their land and what this also meant to their communities. Their diligent work in viniculture represents a way of protecting their environment and elevating it for both the next generation, and the planet as a whole.

Boxing clever

This felt like the natural and necessary first step in creating something that would help us drink great wine at a lesser cost to the environment. Our boxes use 90% less carbon than glass bottles and are widely considered to be the most sustainable way to get wine from the winemaker to you. Also, unlike traditional bottles in which wine will only last a few days once open, our bold little boxes will keep your wine vibrant and fresh for up to six weeks. As well as a beautiful box, we promise you consistent quality, reduced emissions, less waste and great value.

Et voila!

Every one of our delicious wines has been made with conviviality and sharing in mind; whether that be a juicy Loire red in front of the fire after a big Sunday roast, a chilled glass of Provence rosé over a long lunch or a lively glass of Chenin Blanc at your favourite festival. We promise we’ve got you covered. Santé!
